The full story starts when...
upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a communications degree and back in the late 2000's, I came back to the Fox Valley to "settle down" and start my career. And being a professional SEO consultant wasn't even on my radar.
At that time the job market was rough as the unemployment rate was around 10 percent, so basically I took one of the first opportunities I had in my field.
Although, it wasn't in my field...
It was in marketing, which arguably can be considered in the same category by some. Either way, I said to myself "oh crap," and the next day bought myself a "Marketing for Dummies" book from the Appleton Barnes & Noble store as the only true marketing experience I had was a local promotions internship with 95.9 KISS FM, and even that didn't prepare me for the journey I was about to embark on over the next few years and into the future.
Fast forward eight years later from the day I bought that book, and I realize today that I made the right career choice. A career that had started out of necessity has now grown into a passion as I continue to learn and apply more and more strategies and tactics around digital marketing, content strategy, SEO, website design & development, user intent and user experience.
With applicable real world experience and countless hours of study, I can confidently say I am able to help grow your business online.
Why do I do what I do?
As a startup and small business owner you have many more things to worry about than just marketing, and even the marketing discipline is vast with specialties. The reality is a lot of local small business owners do not know where to start nor have a large budget to hire a professional agency let a lone a marketing professional in-house.
At the end of the day, there is nothing more satisfying knowing that I have the ability to help your business get found online while at the same time showing you a positive return on your investment. The countless hours I've put in to acquiring these skills and knowledge is something I take great pride in and so I'm offering my services and advice to those who want it.
If I were a baseball card, these would be a few of my career stats:
+ 2017 Marketing Manager of the Year for Toyota Material Handling USA
+ Wrote the copy for award winning state-wide application: Better Business Bureau Small Business
+ 2011 Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce Marketing and/or Performance award
+ Grew overall traffic for B2B business website by 102% in year one
+ Increased lead generation for B2C business website by 43% in year one
+ Launched websites in multiple industries including home building, SaaS, material handling, electrical contractor, etc.
